What is the total cost for repairing a laptop screen which has dim display?

My laptop Dell inspiron 15r's display screen has partially gone dim on the bottom right quarter of screen. What can be the expected cost and time taken to repair it if I give it to dell service centre?
Or suggest a cheaper and time saving method

Looks like you have a backlight failure. If it's still under warranty, it's possible that Dell can replace the screen at no extra charge. If not, you can buy a new screen and do the replacement yourself.
