Battlefield Bad Company 2 Blue Screen

I had recently bought Bad Company 2 on Steam but after 15-30 minutes of playing, I get a blue screen error (0x00000124). This only occurs with this game, all other games on Steam or elsewhere run just fine. Wanted to know if anyone else has or has had this problem with a possible fix. I've read from other sites on possible solutions, such as disabling onboard audio in the bios, changing certain settings in the BFBC2 folder, etc., but nothing has worked so far. Just wanted to ask to see for other fixes and help on the issue.

If you have msi afterburner turn it off.

I don't have MSI afterburner. Is there anything I else I might be able to try?
