Unable to install drivers for GTX 770

I am unable to install any drivers whatsoever for my GTX 770. I wanted to clear out clutter and do a fresh install, so I deleted everything relating to Nvidia and uninstalled drivers under device manager. Restarted, but I am stuck with "Microsoft Basic Display Adapter". When I try to install the most recent Geforce driver, I get a fail, during the "checking system" phase.

So I figure it's because it says basic adapter instead of "Geforce GTX 770" like it used to. Though when I try to "update drivers" through device manager, it also fails. Says:

"Windows found driver software for your device but encountered an error while trying to install it;
NVIDIA Geforce GTX 770.
The system cannot find the file specified.

Have tried anything I know to troubleshoot but keep coming up empty. Stuck at 800x600, and no idea what to try.

That was it. I had somehow managed to leave a couple nvidia related folders when deleting things manually. Thanks. I have used a similar program before, but couldn't find it again.
