If all were ideal, I'd just go ahead and get a Asus PG279Q or Acer XB271HK since they have all the bells and whistles I could want....but all the QC concerns I have read online have talked me out of it considering they are $700+.
For now I think I'd just be happy with a 1440p IPS monitor. I just want something that is going to make the colors of Witcher 3 (or whatever game) rich and vibrant. I've used 144hz monitors before and it wasn't a huge upgrade for me over a 60hz (granted I don't play many FPS games).
What about something like a Dell U2515H or Asus PB258Q?
24" or 27" would be OK. I just don't want to play the lottery with one of the fancy monitors.
