can't run 64bit software on my 64bit pc

my pc is 64bit processor but I can't run 64bit itunes,winRAR, I use the 32bit winRAR and it works, but not for the itunes

you need 64 bit windows to use 64 bit programs.

this is not the same as 64 bit cpu, so if you don't have 64 bit windows, then no can run 64 bit programs .....

Just FYI, but..

If you have the 32-bit version of W7, W8.1, or W10 then you can upgrade to Windows 10 64-bit for free (until July 29th).

You probably have to do that as a clean install.
1) create W10 64-bit install media (must match "HOME" if you had 32-bit "HOME" before)
- microsoft media creation tool

2) remove old drive

3) boot to install media and install W10 64-bit cleanly (do NOT enter a key. It will auto assign one)

4) TEST, confirm it activated

5) attach old drive, but change BIOS boot order to new one if it attempts to boot old one

6) copy back any important data.

It's a bit more complicated than this so plan it out. Luckily if you buy a new drive (i.e. 250GB SSD) you can install W10 64-bit without messing with your current setup.

Yes it is..when i installed winrar it says "your pc is running 64bit processor you can get better perfomance with the 64bit version"
