Hello,

I bought this 32inch TV 2 months ago and was planning on turning it into a monitor. I am having second thoughts on buying
a monitor because i don't want my TV just lying around after a buy a PC.

So, the question is: is it good for PC gaming?

The TV i bought has 120hz of refresh rate and it has 1080p through HDMI. So i thought i could use it for gaming, or am i wrong for thinking that?

Admirable
the refresh rate is often not actually supported as an input from HDMI, read those specs closely. It's generally 60 HZ input and then some funky marketing tied with the backlight to make that number
http://www.cnet.com/news/fake-refresh-rates-is-your-tv-really-120hz/

For me it's the appearance, 1080P at 32 inches looks fairly chunky, where at 24 inches it's still acceptable.

1) 120Hz -> It's still 60Hz input with the option to apply smoothing (samples frames and creates one FAKE one for each REAL one).

This should never be applied for gaming. Basically you have a 1080p, 60Hz monitor

2) Viewing distance->
Normally HDTV's aren't optimal as monitors so it depends where you are sitting. Basically too close and you see the pixels, but rather than give you statistics you can simply observe that yourself and see if you'd sit too close.

I would NOT sit any closer than THREE FEET away.

3) Input lag->
HDTV's vary, however you should look in the settings and see if there is a "Game mode" or some other way to reduce latency.

*Don't forget people use HDTV's all the time with game consoles so it's not horrible. Some games are less susceptible than others.

4) Setup->
You need to use the HDTV section of the video control panel

If your HDTV ends up in another room there are ways to game on it. I would use wired (ethernet) though and not wi-fi.
