I've been thinking of buying a new monitor since that seems like the best thing I can buy for my rig at the moment but I'm not sure which one to get. I'm leaning towards the Asus Rog swift 278Q or 279Q because it should be very futureproof with 1440p,144hz,G-SYNC and IPS.
This is my system: I5 3570K liquid cooled 8gb ram 120gb SSD + 1TB WD blue (all 3 years old) asus GTX 970 Strix (9 months old) Monitor Asus VW 247 (budget 1080p monitor 5+ years old) What do you guys think? Is a monitor the best thing to go for and if so is the asus 279Q a good choice for my system? The games I play right now are overwatch, Rise of the tomb raider and Mirror's edge Catalyst. They all run pretty fine but I'm worried if I jump to 1440P that even with G-sync my GPU won't hold up. Should i go for the monitor or should I buy something else first? I'm not planning on buying anything else for atleast 6 months. My budget is around € 900. Your help is much appreciated.
