Afternoon everyone,

First off my current set up is as follows:

Processor: i5-4670
Motherboard: Gigabyte H87N-Wifi
Ram: 8GB Corsair Vengence 1600mhz
GPU: Palit 2gb GTX 770
Drive: 1TB SATA3-6gbps
PSU: Corsair 650w VS
Case: Fractal Design Node 304
Windows 7

I am looking to upgrade my system, primarly GPU as i can no longer just max games like i used too. I dont like to spend vast amounts on getting the absolute best card possible. I prefer to go for value = bang for buck (not cheapest).

Additionally i am looking to upgrade to a 1440p monitor...which is where the dilemma comes in. Generally i have always been with Nvidia for GPU but i cant get over just how steep the price is for G-SYNC compared to Freesync. I like the performance of RX480 but i cant help but feel it may already be at its prime...and sharply fall. So it comes down to 1070, 1060, 480 or 490 in my mind....but i am open to any ideas.

So guys....i am looking for recommendations on GPU/1440p monitors with a budget of around 850 to 900 (i have wiggle room).

Am also open to any other suggestions you might have regarding my system. Thanks in advance!
