Windows and Nvidia Driver compatibility problem

So I tried to install the latest Nvidia Drivers from Geforce Experience but the app keeps crashing. I am on version 354.35 and I am looking to get version 368.69. I then went to the Nvidia site picked up the latest driver for my 860m, ran it as an administrator, and still encountered an error. It got locked up in the first step and said I have a windows compatibility error. This is hard to believe becuase I have the latest version of windows 10. I have looked through this site too but I am still having no luck as people never mention how to remove and wipe my current drivers for the new ones. Any input is appreciated, thank you.

When you go to the nvidia website are you sure your selecting the right driver for your laptop ?
http://www.nvidia.com/download/driverResults.aspx/104728/en-us
Make sure the old drivers are removed completely by using add/remove programs in control panel.
Once its done, reboot the computer so the reflections will take place.
Are you running 32bit or 64bit windows 10 os ?
