Looking to upg my Gaming rig. but what monitor to pick?

PC spec:
GPU : Geforce GTX 780 TI
CPU : I7-4770k OC to 4.2k
Ram : 16 GB
Monitor : Asus 24" LED VG248QE

I'am thinking about upg my rig. and i dont really know what to get frist. i was thniking about getting the Asus 27" LED G-Sync ROG SWIFT PG278Q frist and then later upg my GPU to a 1080 TI when it comes out. but i dont know if my GPU can support that monitor and also if its the best one to pick. the only thing i know is that i'am getting the 1080 TI when it hits

But both are 4 ms

I'd surely recommend having an Asus. Although the Acer you provided looks better, the stand makes the monitor rotatable unlike the Asus. Any day I'd prefer a two legged stand other than a block looking stand. After all, it is more expensive but you get what you pay for, more customization ability. Hope I helped!

I have had a guy saying I should just get the Asus 27" LED G-Sync Rog Swift PG278Q its just a TN panel insted of a IPS. and running 144 hz 1 ms and have the same 2560x1440 Resolution. since for gaming you are sitting infront of monitor and dont move that much around.

but I read something about the IPS having better colour depth, and also the IPS Panel should be better then the TN
so it all comes down to either pick the PG278Q thats a TN Panel 144 Hz 1 ms 2560x1440 Resolution vs PG279Q thats a IPS Panel 165 Hz 4 Ms 2560x1440 Resolution.

So atm I am petty unsure what to pick. because is the 165 hz 4 ms better then the 144 hz 1 ms and do the games support 165 hz?

I ended up buying the PG279Q because its IPS Panel and it has gotten great reviews apart from the blacklight bleed. which my new monitor dont really suffer from. which is awesome. and since it has 165 Hz its gonna work perfecly with the 1080 Ti when it comes out
