Java platform SE binary stopped working. Java crashes makes it impossible to load Java-based games

I've been kind of struggling with this problem on and off for a month or so now, whenever I try to load Java based games (I.e Minecraft and PokeMMO) java crashes giving the message in the title. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling Java and my GPU drivers as well as tried a few older versions Java. It sometimes gets past loading screens etc and then loads with about 7 or 8 fps before crashing again. I'm certain it's not a GPU problem, it's 99% a problem with my Java I think.

What version of windows? What are the system specifications?

XFX R9 380 GPU
AMD FX 6300 CPU
Aerocool 700W PSU
1 TB HDD

I upgraded from Win 7, and this just started out of nowhere, was working fine for like a year after upgrading

was just trying to confirm windows was OK.

try right clicking the launcher and select properties, select the compatibility tab, and then set it to use compatibility mode for windows 7 , see if that helps.

Do you mean right clicking the launcher for the game or for Java?

Yeah, but I mean the Java launcher or the launcher for the games that are messing up?

The game launcher, it calls the java VM with it's own environmental store.

We can test the Java VM separately if you like.

Sorry for the late reply, had to sleep and college etc. Tried the compatibility stuff, still nothing. How would I test the Java VM?
