Everything works fantastic. starts up fast. Im done with vista. I need to upgrade that. I need a few things. I want to upgrade memory and video card

and for upgrading memory: does this mean I can only use ddr2? its been a long time since I upgraded a computer. I worked on them in the days when an abit bp6 with duel overclocked celerons was hardcore.

2 sticks of 4 gig ddr2 800 is pretty damn expensive. I would like to get 8 gigs of ram and thats a lot more expensive than ddr3.

any options here for 8 gigs that does not cost over 150 bucks?

with an 8 year old pc if your going to game or just want to upgrade it it not worth it. your better off donating it or getting money for it in scap parts.
look at skyalke i3
itb hard drive and one 8g rqam kit in ddr4 2400.
new 1060 or 480 gpu.
you mqay be spending 600.00 on a new pc but it should last you another 8 years without haqving to replace all the parts.

I dont really want to spend an extra 600 for another computer. honestly all I really want to do is use it as a computer and play eve online. since eve online isnt supported by vista I want to upgrade a little. I get what your saying but I honestly dont have an extra 600 for a gameing computer. I should of reworded my question. thank you though for the input
