Using USB Pendrive as Ram

I wanted to ask the pros and cons of using your USB drive as Ram. Will there be significant change in speed or does it works just like Virtual Memory, also if i use a pen drive as RAM then will the pen drive be unusable later as a storage device.

Those things didn't pan out because of speed and virtual memory on HDDs and specially SSDs is much faster.
