Hey guys. This is my first post on this forum so bare with me.

Anyway, I was looking into a 144hz monitor strictly for gaming (such as COD, CS:GO, Just Cause, etc.) and am looking for a new graphics card that will support that 144hz stuff.

My current card is kinda crap (a GT 730), and heard from the internet on other forums that the Nvidia GTX 970 was a good grab. As I was searching that card though, apparently this new less expensive GTX 1070 is available. Is this a good card for this cause?

Anyway, what would be a better card to run 1080p on a 144hz monitor (or however that works, not sure)? I appreciate any feedback. :^)

The GTX 1070 would probably be your best option. I would not buy a GTX 970 just because the 1070 is so much better. If your budget supports it, grab yourself a 1070. If you are looking for something a little cheaper ($200), you should get the AMD RX 480 that just came out. If you want something in between, the GTX 1060 is a great option (it just came out today I think).

Alright, thanks! I'll probably look into the GTX 1060 if for some reason I can't afford the 1070. I almost ended up buying the GTX 970 today too lmao. I appreciate your response a ton! :D
