Please help!! Connecting PC to TV via USB-C to DP to HDMI

I'm trying to connect my Dell XPS 13 to my samsung LCD TV. The PC has a USB-C/thunderbolt output which is connected to a USB-C to displayport adapter, which is in turn connected to a displayport-to-HDMI cable. The HDMI is connected to the TV. The PC does not seem to detect the TV as a monitor.

Any thoughts?? Thanks!!!

That is a lot if adapting to do.. they do make a usb-c to HDMI adapter which would cut out one more possible issue but I can't say I've ever tried to adapt a signal twice before it hit the display.
