Hello Tom's Hardware Community.

I know that it sounds strange, but recently my LCD screen has obligated me to warming up (using a hair dryer) for a growing time each time. Now it takes approximately 4 minutes to get hot enough.

I live in Brazil and we are experiencing a mid-winter season with temperatures between 15ºC ~ 20ºC during day (and I know it's not so cold to north hemisphere averages). But I noticed that in the colder days the monitor delays more and more.

Without warming it, the screen goes black and never shows up. After start of warming up, the led starts blinking for 2 minutes, and then the screen is revealed.

What's happening? I thought that hot temperatures were prejudicial for all hardware types.

Thank you so much.
My Regards.
