Sudden Backlight bleed

So abut a year ago i got the benq xl2420z and yesterday a small white spot started appearing in the lower right of the monitor. i turned it off for the night. i woke up, its gone. after 20 min and opening cs go it returned and it started to spread. Here is a pic: http://

What can i do? my warranty is over...

That's what warranty actually is for. Warranty is a company's "promise" that its products will last at the specified time. Longer than that, the company won't be sure of the quality.

That looks very strange(almost looks like the screen was hit or something). If it is a defect in the screen, I don think you can do anything about it.

Sorry we do not have a better options.

lol well i had exactly 1 year...THATS BULLSHIT, why in the us its longer? anyways, as im speaking the monitor is blackening, its getting worst, its like someone has burnt the monitor.

yeah mine is not a white dot, its like a spreading white thing that is darkening everything arround it :http://tinypic.com/r/4pv7r5/9

it is a white patch on screen anyway, but considering the extent of the damage...better u consult a professional repair center...
