Let's begin with the specs:
OS: Windows 10 Pro
GPU: Radeon R9 280x
CPU: FX-8350
Monitor: LG Flatron E2211 21.5inch

Basically what happaned was i turned on my PC and everything worked fine, just as usual. But after i restarted the PC, (don't remember why) my screen resolution had switched from 1920x1080 to 1024x768. I tried changing it back to normal and then i saw that the maximum resolution that windows allowed me to switch to was 1600x1200. I was not sure what to do so i looked it up. The first possible solution was updating the graphics drivers, of course it did not work out. When the drivers were ready the PC restarted as usual. When it started booting back up i was greeted with the message "out of range". I tried waiting for it nothing happened. So i decided to run windows in low-resolution mode(pressing F8 and navigating thru the startup menu). I managed to boot up. Once on my desktop again i went into the radeon additional settings menu and manually adjusted the maximal resolution to 1920x1080. It worked and i was able to get my resolution back.

The problem is every time i restart the pc i have to go thru the whole process again, starting form hte low-resolution mode.

TL;DR PC resolution won't stay on native 1920x1080. Annoying process to make it work. Tried everything found on here.

Solution
1280 is greater than 1080, so if you try to get above that, it simply won't work. Since you CAN get to 1920 x 1080, go to the Control Panel -> Display -> Display Resolution, and set it, then click OK. That should set it like you want.

Good luck.

The problem is not setting it to 1920x1080 but the fact that i have to run thru a long process in order to run my PC wiith that resolution. Windows will simply change my resolution to 1600x1200 every time i turn in of and back on again.
