How could I swap between my pc and laptop on 1 monitor

if I use DVI-D from my pc and hdmi on my mac could I swap between them like on a tv with a press of a button?

Maybe not the press of 1 button, but you should be able to open the monitor's menu and select your input source. So if you're lucky 2-3 buttons? otherwise 5-6 if you have go through the menus every time.

An alternative would be to get a KVM, with that switching from source to source would either be a dedicated button/switch or a keyboard combination

under 10 buttons is fine just wanted to check you could do it

You should be able to check right now, just open the monitor menu up and look around. Anything but the most basic of monitors should have an option there for input or input source.

Dont have the monitor yet just the pc and mac
