Hi,

I have i7 system and it is currently running at 3.4ghz. How can I make it so that it runs at 4ghz?

I have non-overclockable mobo btw...

Thanks,
Derrick

The 6700 has a base speed of 3.4 GHz. To make it go to 4.0 GHz all you have to do is apply a load on it. When you boot your machine to BIOS it will read 3.4 Ghz because the power saving features exist only in Windows. Once Windows loads, it will drop to 0.8 GHz.

When you apply a significant load, TurboBoost will kick in automatically and bring the speed to 4.0 GHz
