i7 6700k vs i5 6500?

Hello i was wondering if its a worthwhile upgrade if i change from an i5 6500 @ 4.5 ghz 1.355v to an i7 6700k i primarily just do gaming and stuff i have paired it with a 980Ti and i was wondering if i would get an increase in FPS?

If you want to future proof your build then yes, you will see a slight increase but nothing to major as a lot of games rely more on the GPU. if you can afford to upgrade you might as well do it.
