Clean installing Windows 10 from 8.1

I was wondering if I could get a few things confirmed.

So when I boot from my flash drive Windows 10 and it asks for the product key I can just put in the key I got when I installed windows 8.1? And if I do this does the windows 8.1 key get converted to a windows 10 key? Because I would like to roll back to windows 8.1 if my system has problems.

Yes, your Win8.1 key will work for activating Win10 - that's exactly what I did on my PC a few weeks ago.

In principle, you have 30 days to go back to Windows 8.x if you don't want your key permanently converted to Windows 10.
