Are there any games that the GTX 1070 CAN'T run 60 fps at 1080p max settings?

Hey guys. First time posting here. So, sorry If I'm doing something wrong/posting in the wrong place. I have a GTX 760. But I'm upgrading to a EVGA SC GTX 1070! I'm just waiting to see it at my doorstep now. Can't wait! I know that people say it's overkill for 1080P gaming at 60 FPS. But I'm curious. Is there any games that the 1070 CAN'T run at 1080p 60 FPS at max settings? Given that there's no bottleneck anywhere else?
Just an FYI, I do have a 144Hz 1080P monitor. But I'm hoping to see a steady 60 FPS with few to no drops when gaming, playing games like Witcher 3, Rise of The Tomb Raider, and Batman: Arkham Knight, and Metal Gear Solid V, and Crysis 3. I mainly got the 144Hz monitor for a smooth browsing experience, but I'm sure I'll love to feel the 120 FPS in older games. Thanks for your time!

Awesome! I've already looked over tons of benchmarks that have shown 60+ FPS. Was just making sure people who were showing benchmarks weren't sweeping more intensive games under the rug to make the card look better. I actually had to RMA a GTX 1070 because my PC wouldn't turn on every couple of days. FPS would drop in bigger places in Rise of The Tomb raider, but since the card is faulty, that could change for me later. Anti-aliasing looked to be buggy sometimes too. Wasn't sure if that was the card or the game, I guess we'll see if those problems are solved when I get the new card! But I'm sure they will.

Oh yea GTA V also Hammers your CPU as much as GPU as well. Only CPU I've seen that fends off GTA V's workload well is the I7 6700k. Thanks for reminding me about that.

Thanks. This is what I was wondering about. Seems kinda bogus when people show benchmarks with games NOT running max settings. It's kinda misleading considering most people don't know which settings are the highest or not in specific games. I'm using an FX 8350 processor. Hoping that most games I play aren't so CPU intensive.

On another note, has anyone played Max Payne 3 at 1080p max settings with a GTX 1070? What was your framerate like if so? Having trouble finding benchmarks for that online weirdly enough. I tried it with my faulty GTX 1070, but it actually seemed like the FPS wasn't very steady, but that card had to be RMA'd anyway.

You will likely be CPU bound in a lot of games. The FX 8350 is a weak CPU for the 1070 and in a lot of games it will be held back. When you have a chance you should really upgrade to Intel platform when you can so you can get the most performance out of your 1070.

I unfortunately just upgraded from a phenom II x4 processor, and a gigabyte 790XT mobo to the FX 8350, and MSI 970 gaming mobo not too long ago, so I think i'll just have to grin and bear it for a while. And maybe overclock my CPU since I also bought a Hyper 212 EVO CPU cooler for it. What Intel processor do you guys think would be a good match that isn't too crazy expensive?
