Which motherboard for my gaming build please help :)

hi, I'm building a gaming pc around a I5 6600 and the rx 480 gpu

I'm at a loss as to what motherboard I should choose

I was looking at asus z170 boards but not really sure if there are better options or cheaper.

I def want ddr4 ram along with 3.0 usb and must be atx as hoping to use my old case

the asus z170 k took my fancy but not sure but I do like the idea that this board can be overclocked. any help would be appreciated

Is the cpu the i5 6600 or 6600k? Overclocking with a z series motherboard you need a k series cpu. Otherwise if you don't intend to overclock in the future you could go with an i5 6600 or 6500 and something like an h170 board. The z170 board supports overclocking yes, but not if paired with a non k cpu. Keep in mind the skylake k series cpu's (i5 6600k/i7 6700k) don't come with any cooler so you'll need to buy an aftermarket cooler whether you plan to overclock it right away or not.

ASUS A88X-PRO is a best gaming motherboard with 3.0 usb.

The a88x-pro is an fm2+ amd motherboard. It's not compatible with an intel i5 6600.
