I'd like to spend $200-$300. It'll be hooked up to my laptop (dell xps 13 i5-6200 2.2-2.8gz) via hdmi 2.0 (or maybe display port if the TV has that but most budget ones don't).
My dream would be to get one with a matte coding, but I think that's not possible for this price.
