Hi, yesterday I decided to buy some more ram for my system ,because my current amount is not enough. I currently have 4gb of ram. I bought 4gb of ram Kingston XyperX 1600mhz that is the same as my other one. I checked first if my motherboard supports 8gb of ram ,but it does, it supports 16gb. I installed the ram in the B slot of the motherboard and when I turned on the computer it started crashing and starting again. I turned it off and checked if the ram is broken. I removed the old ram and installed the new one on the A slot now. The computer started and everything was fine. I can't understand where is the problem. I hope you can help me. I want to say sorry for my bad english.

Thanks for the answer. I want to ask before doing anything , can I break something with that voltage increase? I never did that before. Also Can this be a problem with my power supply? How can I check if 500W is enough for my system with the additional ram memory? Thanks again.

Perfectly safe ;) More likely that you simply have two sticks that don't want to play - happens all the time - always best to get all the DRAM you want/need in a single package
Okay. I found the tab in my BIOS with the DRAM information ,but I couldn't edit it. It shows my first ram slot information ,but nothing on the B1 slot that we actualy need to edit. I couldn't find the settings that we want to edit. I watched some videos about that ,but their BIOS is so much different. Any suggestions that may help me where are that settings? Also I found that my ram voltage is 1.5 and not 1.57 , if I find the setting should I type 1.5 or 1.57 ? Thanks a lot.
