This is what I've got specced out right now. Would welcome any feedback/suggestions. Note that I've not yet chosen a video card.

Your CPU and motherboard aren't compatible. The E5-2620 v4 is a 2011 socket (presumably 2011-3 or whatever the haswell/broadwell version was) and your motherboard is 1151.

I'm not really for spending almost as much as your CPU costs on a SATA SSD, nor do I see the benefit of using an SSD for bulk storage when you're already investing in an NVMe drive for boot. Just get a mechanical hard drive and enjoy the cheaper price per GB while it lasts.

You're right. I had meant to spec this one:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIA1UH3Z95648&
CPU
Intel Xeon E3-1245 v5 SkyLake 3.5 GHz 8MB L3 Cache LGA 1151 80W
$309

I wanted SSD for bulk because spinning drives are costing me time, and time is money. Plus, if I got a spinning drive, I'd have to get two and mirror (for reliability)
