Should I upgrade my RAM from DDR3?

I haven't looked into this much. I currently have Corsair Vengeance DDR3 (3x4GB). Would it be worth it to consider investing in the CV DDR4 LED models?

Pros (that I know of):
DDR4 is better than DDR3, right?
IT HAS LEDS PLSSSSS
It's newer so it'll be quicker right?

Cons:
£££££££££££££££££
It might not be as much of a difference as the money suggests.
My motherboard might not run out it's full potential due to it being an old one.

Thanks for your time, remember my Mobo only has 3 blue channels and 3 white ones for RAM (I dunno how that works so much)

Your board will not run ddr4, only a freakishly small number of x99 or skylake motherboards support both ddr 3&4. So no do not buy ddr4 unless you want them to be expensive paper weights
