Hi Everyone,
Trying to build system this week for my son, but need to keep the budget to about £650. It will be mainly for games and no intention of overclocking.
CPU:- Intel i5-6500 Skylake £184.49
Motherboard:- GA-H110M-A
GPU:- Evga Geforce GTX970sc ACX2.0 4GB £218.99
Memory:- HyperX fury 1x8GB @2133 CL14. ( hope to add another 8 at later date) £33.56
Storage:- Seagate Barracuda 1TB 7200 64MB £41.99
Optical drive:- Samsung SH-224DB £13.65
Case :- Bitfenix Nova Gaming Midi Tower £26.15
PSU :- 600w (could do with advice here ,around £50 )

Can't seem to get the motherboard in uk so could also do with advice, was looking at GA-H110M-H but open to better alternatives preferably under £50
Struggling to find budget PSU , I believe I need at least 3.3v 9.5A 5v12.8A 12v 25.1A

All advice greatly appreciated

You should probably get an RX 480 if you can and if your willing to spend a bit more get a GTX 1060. The 970 is old and these two cards beat it. The PSU can be a 550W or above if you want to be completely safe.

Unfortunately I'm already over budget, my original target was £600 and included a Radeon R9 390 but it pushed me way over budget. The problem I'm having with lower wattage PSU's is they give most wattage to 12v rail not leaving enough for the low voltage rails, or am I misleading myself? According to calculator I need 96wlow/301w12v

Go with this. Tipping close to your budget, but well worth it in terms of performance. (Performs the same as a 970 with lower power draw)
You don't really need anything more than 400w for an RX480 build, but I've left in a 520w because the price difference is negligible, and you will see more use of out of it in future builds etc.
