Windows 10 Anniversary Update Lowers 2nd Screen Resolution

My monitors were working fine before the update, with my primary at 1080p and 2nd monitor at 1680x1050. After the update, the resolutions for the 2nd monitor dropped to a maximum of 1200x1600 (also a different aspect ratio). I have already tried reinstalling AMD graphics drivers and restarting. How can I fix this low resolution after the Anniversary Update?

Unfortunately, that didn't work. It said "Didn't detect another display". The resolution is still capped at 1200x1600

Power the system down. When powered down, disconnect the secondary display. Restart Windows with only a single display. Then shutdown again. Reconnect the secondary display. Windows should detect the "new" device and allow you to configure it properly. Good luck.

THANK YOU! I worked on this issue for most of the day on Friday with no luck. I am using 4 laptops with a KVM switch and even though two other computers were previously updated and the option to switch resolution was dimmed out those had the right resolution. No luck on my primary machine until I worked with DETECT and EXTEND. thank you for your help!
