Not sure if this has anything to do with my problem but motherboard:https://www.amazon.com/MSI-Solution-Z170A-Motherboard-PC/dp/B0131GA4VE?ie=UTF8&camp=1789&creative=390957&creativeASIN=B0131GA4VE&linkCode=as2&linkId=PRA2QGJOEFOWB4JI&redirect=true&ref_=as_li_tl&tag=austevan-20
Alright now that that is out of the way lets get into my problem. Like you saw in the title I have a 144 hz monitor but its only displaying at 60 hz. Im surrently using a dvi dual-link. I also have a display port plugged in (not being used). So my monitor has 4 buttons on the bottom right, auto - + Menu. In that order. When i press menu it shows me my hz. It says its 60 hz. Also when i right click on my desktop, display settings, advanced, and display adapter properties it says my monitor is a generic pnp monitor at 60 hz. I have absolutely no idea why it wont display at 144 hz. I would like some help in this situation. Thank you.
