MSI GE60 BIOS boot order changes not saving after win10 upgrade

Hi all,
changes made to boot order in BIOS do not get saved anymore since I upgraded to win10, I tried making other changes in the BIOS to make sure its not an issue with the ROM but other changes are saved without problems. There must be something about Win10 resetting this.
The boot order it keeps reverting to is DVD, HDD, SSD (basically it should be the opposite).
Its not an UEFI, so I cannot access settings via the Win10 advanced startup settings.
Havent found any helpful info on this elsewhere (spent half an hour searching) so I hope someone here can help.

sounds like your bios battery needs replacing, i think it is the thing that helps bios remember your settings.

You can buy replacements, most boards let you remove them and put new one on.

Thanks for your reply, like I mentioned it saves any other settings without problem, so I dont think thats the issue here

I didn't realise this was a laptop until I looked up code

MSI web site always does my eyes in, its white on black, I then switch to here and its opposite.. ow.
