Computer shuts off on high gpu load immediately. Bad PSU ?

I bought my pc a year ago. it has the following specs:

intel i5 4690k
nvidia gtx 970
corsair 16gb ram
corsair vs550

. Just recently I would turn on any program that uses the gpu and the computer shuts of immediately. it takes less than 5 seconds before the pc shutsdown as if power was cut and the gpu temps are still around 50-60c at that point. is that a sign of bad PSU ?

As said probably the psu. Does the same happen when using the igp? Take the gtx 970 out and use the output from the motherboard i/o.
