Does Paypal have a monthly fee?

I want to open a paypal account but before that is there a monthly fee or a yearly fee? basically do i need to paypal to keep my account open? I would only be using my account to buy things online also do they accept any bank accounts?

With normal user account you don't pay any maintenance fee. They don't accept bank accounts, but payment cards. They use them both for withdrawal and deposits. From my experience "electronic cards" - which is just a piece of paper with number and is supposed to work online only as well as Maestro and VISA Electron used to be problematic at best (few years back, don't know if that got any better lately). You won't have any issues with an embossed card (ECMC, VISA, ...) with enabled internet payments.
