Hi all
Looking to purchase a new monitor for my setup. There will be (2) things ran to it.
1) PC (gaming & general use)
2) Sony PS4 (gaming)
My PC specs are as follows:
Alienware X51 R2
Intel i3 4130 - 3.4 GHz
16GB DDR3 RAM 1600 MHz
PNY XLR8 GeForce GTX 750 ti OC
330watt Alienware Power supply
Samsung 850 Pro SSD 512GB - OS
WD 1TB 7200 RPM HDD - storage
Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit
I'm kinda torn between getting a 24" ISP, 60 Hz, or 144 Hz monitor. I know console gaming is capped at 60 Hz so a 144 Hz monitor would be of no value there. What about for PC gaming? I think I couldn't sustain high enough FPS to take advantage of the 144 Hz panel.
So should I go with my hunch and get a 1-2 refresh rate 60 Hz monitor or should I grab a 4 refresh rate ISP? Or just bite the bullet and get a upper end 144hz panel for future upgrades?
Any input would be greatly appreciated!
