I received some suggestions earlier. Should I build from scratch or upgrade?

CPU: 4590 i5
RAM: 8gb ddr 3 1600
GPU: xfx 7850 radeon (2gb gddr5)
PSU: OCZ 650w psu
Motherboard: MSI H81M-E33
SSD: ocz agility 4 120gb ssd for OS
HDD: 500gb WD blue caviar for storage.
Cooler: Hyper 212 Cooler

Thank you for any replies.

Only thing I see that might need upgrade is the GPU. Everything is still solid. Might want to consider moving to a RX 480 or 1060. Otherwise, maybe get a new mouse or keyboard. What are you using now for mouse n keyboard?

Very good suggestions. While monitoring the hardware while playing, I see the gpu pegged at 97% where the cpu goes as high as 70% and as low as 30% so I figured it was the gpu. Just worried I'll upgrade and the cpu will then be the bottleneck. I have a pretty flexible budget, but I only have 1080 monitors which I'm fine with for right now. Just trying to avoid another round of upgrades in 2 years if possible.

Edit: I should probably add that I do recording of gameplay. Third party hardware is used though, Elgato.

Would there really be any larger benefit to picking up a 1070? I know it's geared more for higher than 1080p, I'm just wondering if it will save me from upgrading in 2 years.

Mostly gaming, but I do gameplay recording so I will be editing videos. I also dabble in photography so editing of photos will be likely done as well.

If you are gonna play on a single 1080p monitor (not 3) 60Hz then getting a 1070 is a waste of money You don't need more than a 480 or 1060. A 1060 will still be solid for 1080p in 2 years. A 1060 will max out all games for at least a year or two to come.

And don't worry about bottlenecking your system. A i5-4590 is just as good as new i5-6500. Those CPUs will not cause a bottleneck unless you put 2 Titans in your rig. Those i5s can handle any single high end GPU easily.
