Hi everyone. So I inherited some PC hardware in exchange for some IT work, an i5-3470 and ASRock H77 Pro 4-M board. I installed them in an old HP desktop hat originally had an AMD based-board (forget which chipset 785?) with a Phenom II X4 945 and 8 GB 1333 MHz RAM. It had a Radeon HD5450 card (unbranded, HP OEM part), and after I got it up and running, updated all the MB drivers, graphics driver, etc. I noticed that the machine doesn't perform as good as it used to in games. More stuttering and choppiness. The Intel setup is a big performance upgrade, so why is it not working better? I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the graphics drivers with the optimized version for the card from AMD with no luck.
Am I missing something? Does it have to do with the card not being optimized for the Intel-based board? Bottlenecking?
Any help is appreciated. Thanks!
