Hi,
I have 2 monitors for my PC; both are exactly the same (BenQ GL22500), however one is not HDMI. Therefore one monitor is plugged in via HDMI, and the other is plugged into the PC's DVI port via a VGA adapter and cable.

When I got the monitor, I had an issue in which I could not set the new monitor (the VGA/DVI one) to 1920x1080 resolution, but after a few hours managed to fix it. It's been months since then and after updating to the new Windows 10 anniversary update, all my settings have been undone and once again 1920x1080 resolution is not available. 1600x1200 is the top resolution on the list on Advanced display settings.

I went into additional settings on AMD Radeon Settings and forced the monitor to use 1920x1080, but the entire monitor went blurry, making everything unreadable.

I have no idea what to do..
I know it is possible to fix because for months I've had them both working on the same resolution, up until this W10 update.

Thankyou!

Well, I fixed it. I tried forcing the 1920x1080 resolution again, which then crashed the monitor. All seemed lost until I restarted the PC, which reverted the resolution back to 1600x1200. I then moaned to my friend more about it, before checking the Advanced display settings again, to find that 1920x1080 was now available. I don't know what I did, but it worked. Thanks anyway.
