Hi!

I just bought new RAM to a laptop, easy note TK85. It's supposed to have DDR3L RAM but after a lot of googling I found that it should work DDR3. After switching it I get black screen, I can open in it secure boot though.

Anyways, through this site I found that I should change the memory specifications in bios. I can't do it though. The option is not avaliable. When pressing F2 at startup I get these tabs:
Information
Main
Security
Boot
Exit

None of those tabs include changing the memory specs.

I am running windows 7 on the Packard Bell easy note TK85.

Thanks for any help

You could try and see if there's a BIOS update, but when it comes to laptops, either it works or it doesn't. Most all laptops have a locked BIOS so you can't make adjustments to timings or voltage
