Newbie needs help installing W10 on pc without optical drive

Hello everyone, first of all i wanna apologise for my english i am not native speaker.


I am going to buy new pc and iam gonna buy .iso version of windows 10. I want to ask, is it possible to just take the .iso file and put it on usb flash drive then plugging it in the new pc and the installation will begin? Or do i have to still go to bios and start the installation from there? Thanks for answers.

yes. put it on a usb, and then boot to the usb to install win 10.

And from where do i boot it up ? From bios or is it gonna boot itself ?

most bios on new pc's allow you to hit a button(like F9 or similar) and get a one time boot selection where you can boot to the USB. Normally the bios controls boot order, but this allows you to temporarily change it easily.

You have to use something like Rufus to put it on a flash drive. If you put the ISO on it as is, it wont boot

iam gonna use MediaControlTool that i downloaded from microsoft site. Is it OK ?

You mean mediacreation tool?? That should work. But if you want to keep the ISO download it then burn it or extract it to a flash drive

Just wanna ask when iam going to need the code? When installing new windows or when making the media?

You can skip the key during the install.

If you didnt upgrade from Win7 or 8, then you'll need a key once windows is installed

Altho I wouldnt trust Ebay for keys. Some can be dodgy
