This began yesterday. I simply booted up and W10 was just sluggish to boot up. I had to task manager it just to speed things up and get to the desktop. This is on an ssd as well.
Anyone got a clue why? Clean full retail install, not an upgrade from an earlier OS.

Solution
Yes, advanced start up, then PC will restart into a blue menu with the options I said below it. Its safe, its the spot you go to fix windows: http://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/2294-advanced-startup-options-boot-windows-10-a.html
Going through settings is just fastest way in

reset would wipe your stuff, not a mistake you want to make.

As for SFC, here is a link to make you feel safer: http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/wiki/windows_10-update/system-file-check-sfc-scan-and-repair-system-files/bc609315-da1f-4775-812c-695b60477a93

SFC is System File Checker, it fixes windows.

I meant cntrl alt del'ing it on the welcome screen to go into task manager and force myself straight into desktop. And yes I did restart and it didn't change anything.
This started yesterday. Until then it was absolutely perfect. Nothing else seems to be affected.

go to settings/update & security/recovery/advanced start up & click restart PC
this loads advanced start up
choose troubleshoot
choose advanced
choose start up repair - this will scan PC and maybe fix this - will ask for logon info

If that doesn't help
right click start button
choose command prompt (Admin)
type SFC /scannow and press enter

this will scan system files and might help

could try a av scan as well.

I'm kind of nervous about dicking around with settings like that. How do I know that stuff won't just completely wipe over all my stuff?
Anyway I have two options there:
Reset this PC and Advanced Start-up.
I presume you want me to try the latter?
