decent budget upgrade

i wonder if i should upgrade (or switch) to intel
here are what i have now:
-Ph.2 X4 970
-HD 6850 1GB

and here are my target:
-i3 6100
-GA-H110M-S2PH
-Seasonic G-450
(cost around $405)

mainly use for gaming, and as far as i know multiplayer games mostly require quad-core processor.
oh, i'm AIMing for low power usage too.

The i3 is a hyperthreaded dual (2 cores/4 threads) and will be a major improvement, but your graphics card needs upgrading, too.

yea, im waiting for cheap Amd card, looking forward to gts 1050 if it shall exist.
in da meantime hd 6850 is sufficient.

oot:what's yer opinion about i3 vs a10?

i3 all the way. You don't have any real upgrade options with the A10.
