Hey guys, I own three ultrawide monitors with resolutions of 2560 x 1080. I was able to run them all at full resolution before by using the two DVI outputs and a single HDMI output from my graphics card (MSI GTX 970 GAMING 4G). However, I recently purchased an Oculus Rift which takes up my HDMI slot. Therefore I decided to output to my third monitor through my displayport slot and purchased an adapter.

Now that I output to my third monitor, its maximum output resolution is only 1920 x 1080 at 60Hz. I checked whether or not display port should be able to output in my desired resolution and it is capable of higher than what I want so I am wondering as to why I can not output at 2560 x 1080 at 60Hz. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

My monitors: LG 29UM57-P http://www.lg.com/us/monitors/lg-29UM57-P-ultrawide-led-monitor

Graphics Card: MSI GTX 970 GAMING 4G https://www.msi.com/Graphics-card/GTX-970-GAMING-4G.html#hero-overview

DisplayPort to HDMI Adapter: http://www.sandberg.it/en-us/product/Adapter-DisplayPort-HDMI

Its also worth mentioning that I can not output to the Rift using the DisplayPort port so I cant just use my third monitor with the HDMI.
