Previous thread posted about how I was trying to fix the ME.

Read this article about how flashing the BIOS twice was needed in order to update ME:

My PC will not boot after "successfully" updating the BIOS+ME. The CPU LED blinks for a second, the fans start spinning, then it stops. It starts up again about 4-5 seconds after, then stops. It won't stop doing this unless I turn off the PSU.

The mobo had the 10.6 version of the bios, however I didn't perform the flash + ME after updating the bios a couple months ago. Before flashing the bios today, I cleared the CMOS and everything was working fine. After this I flash the bios using a flash drive (FAT32), in the BIOS using MFLASH. The flash went fine, the BIOS and the ME were successfully flashed according to the prompts on the screen. However when it restarted, the PC wouldn't boot.

I have tried clearing the CMOS and replaced the mobo battery. What it is going on?

It would suggest that you may of flashed the motherboard you have with a bios firmware that visually looking at your motherboard looks the same.

But is in fact slightly different in some respects.
It can happen when a board maker produces the same model number of the board, but there is a slight change to to an extra suffix used to identify the motherboard.

You have to be careful of this Mre2789.

And double check the full model name of the motherboard you have.
And the bios firmware you flash to the motherboard making sure the bios firmware used is an exact match of the boards model number.

Any slight change in the model number such as a number or an addition of a alphabetical extra suffix for a motherboard vs the bios you have actually downloaded and flashed to the board can be the cause of why the board does not work as expected after the new firmware update.

I would at least check the firmware update matches the exact model of Z77A-G45 board you have.

I have seen this slight mistake made a few times.
