Hey guys and gals

I'm looking to buy a Laptop to play World of Warcraft on, I'd like to be able to play it all maxed out at 1080p.

Here are their listed system requirements

https://us.battle.net/support/en/article/7682

My budget is ~1000, the less I can spend the better though.

I really don't know laptop hardware at all so I defer to the experts at Tom's Hardware :)

Thanks for looking.

hmm, their minimum has changed as my old PC wouldn't have been able to run it and at the time I got it, it was too good for WOW,, main reason I stopped playing it.

I would think any modern laptop can run WOW at 1080p but i know about as much about laptops as you do :)

Yeah one of the expansions upgraded a lot of the visuals so I guess the system requirements went up then.

You either need to lower your quality expectations or raise your budget.

At top settings WOW will need a pretty good system, especially if you don't want huge FPS swings.

Something with a 970M video card will be OK for higher settings in WOW but those start at $1,000 https://www.amazon.com/MSI-GE62-Apache-Pro-254-i5-6300HQ/dp/B01FG9XS4E/ref=sr_1_2?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1473342114&sr=1-2&keywords=970M http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834233162 For really good results in a laptop, you need about $1,300 http://
For under $1,000 you have the 960M cards which will handle WOW at a solid medium+ setting (say 7) with good FPS.
