Can I install WIndows 10 disc version without an optical drive?

I am building a PC and want to instal Windows 10. I won't have an optical drive as I am build M-ITX and cases for that class don't really have 5.25" bays. External drives take up valuable USB ports on the small ITX boards and also seem to have slower read/write times. I know I can install from a USB but that is $30 more than disc. Can I just put the disc into my laptop and copy Windows 10 to a USB drive? Thanks in advance!

Buy the cd version and then download the USB version since its the same thing, just different media

Download the Windows 10 media creation tool and use it to make a win 10 installer on USB

you still need to buy it as you need the licence to install it.

As said above, this also takes you to the latest release version directly so you don't need to install the upgrade after the OS install.
