I managed to OC my new i7-6700k to 4.6ghz on my ASUS Z170-A. Its running stable at 1.344v and 65 max temp.

Will this be safe to run for a while or will it decrease the longevity of the processor?

I've read online people don't like going over 1.35, some don't like going over 1.3. This is why i'm curious if this is safe or not. This is a brand new PC I got and it is my first time overclocking!

Let me know what you think please!

Rule of thumb to avoid silicon deterioration is to keep voltage at or below 1.3v, but temperature is a bigger factor.

With your temperature I would not worry too much.

1.35v is perfectly safe long term as long as your temps are good and yours are fine. See the link in my sig for much more detailed Intel overclocking info.

My 6700K is also at 4.6Ghz with 1.35v.

I am running Prime95 Torture test and when this is running and i go into CPUID to check core voltage, at 4.4 and at 4.6ghz it says the core voltage is 1.360v. This only happened when I ran Prime95 and not AIDA64. Why is this happening between two different speeds?

It's teh way modern CPUs aru built. You are not actually setting a fixed voltage. They have a table a voltages and extrapolate from the voltage you set.
