Windows 10 taskbar thumbnail preview not showing.

So, if I hover over,let's say, CHROME and I have more than 1 window open, it will show just the name of the tab, see image below. I searched for fixes on google but didn't find any. Pls help
OS: win10 (should I reinstall it perhaps?)

The taskbar threshold limit will vary depending on what you have set for your screen resolution and DPI scaling level.

Here are some default threshold limits based on screen resolution using default DPI:
800x600 = 7 tabs or windows open for threshold
1024x768 = 10 tabs or windows open for threshold
1920x1080 = 16 tabs or windows open for threshold

Hi,

I am also facing the same issue. Here is the solution:
Please go to below registry.

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Taskband and Delete the value NumThumbnails.

Taskbar Preview (Thumbnails) start working

Note: Please make sure that you take backup of registry before delete any value.

Easy thing
Open This PC and then minimize it. Then search task manager in search box. You should see windows explorer listed. Click on it and then
click restart in the bottom pane. This should solve the problem.
