Dead pixel or whatever!

Ok, I got this weird black/grayish line on my laptop's display. At first, it was small but now I suddenly noticed it got bigger. Any way to fix this?

Heard a term called "Dead Pixel". Not sure if it's that same thing.

it could be the screen fail. Nothing to fix, need to replace it.

It is called dying screen if it is getting bigger. Only way to fix is to replace the screen. Sorry for your luck!

That's a bit more than a dead pixel.
I'd call that more of a "broken screen"

It's called LCD leak, and the only way to fix it is by replacing the screen.

No, it doesn't move. It's there right from the beginning. Stuck in that place

Most likely that area of the screen got hit/damaged.
Or the electronics got messed up.

Regardless what happened you need a new monitor.

I see its an older laptop, you can swap out the screen yourself.
You can remove the bezel (The plastic piece that goes around the LCD panel).
Unscrew the screws, you are going to need a microphilips P000 P00 P0, depends on your laptop model.
Look at the back and take the model number including the revision and search Amazon and ebay for it.
You'll find a compatible model, though it probably wont be the same model.
