tv is still 60hz most likely. will your graphics card burn up trying to do 4k or will it give you bad pixel rendering while it throttles itself from overheating all the time while gaming?
is your friend playing on a console? consoles suck his will probably burn up if it's not rendering true 4k and giving him 4fps because it's a console and consoles have the worst graphics at high resolutions.
1200x920 on a 40+" screen on a 4k tv at 30fps probably gets him killed alot in his games when he is 40 frames short of a pc player at 70+fps

consoles can't deliver 4k resolution and consoles carry a 30 fps cap
